Designing your own invitations isn’t for the faint of heart, so make sure you’ve taken a peek at our invitation vendors, free invitation printables, and our invitation DIY archive to make sure you’re headed in the right direction before proceeding.

Still on your DIY invitation journey? Cool. Let’s talk free wedding invitation fonts! Here are some of our favorites for sweet and lovely wedding invitations. Stay tuned for more themes later on like Halloween and geeky wedding fonts, too.
To install and use these fonts, download them from their respective sites and extract the font files into your Fonts folder (usually in C: > Windows > Fonts on PCs and here on Macs). Makes sure to close out any graphics programs you’re using before you look for your new fonts, otherwise they won’t show up.

Some of the Google fonts are pretty good too, and there are even a few already on your computer worth checking out. I used Herr von Muellerhoff (which I got from Google fonts, although they have it at Fontsquirrel as well) and Futura (already on the computer) for a mid-century-ish look. Turned out great!
Of all the above fonts you have featured in here, my favorite one is the Daydreamer! It’s simple and classy at the same time. When having doubts on which font to choose, you can also ask celebrity wedding planners.Look at Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed wedding by One Heart Wedding. They’ve used a very nice one.
