You may know of Vine star Jeffrey Marsh, the inspiring, perfectly styled, gender fluid viral sensation telling us to just be ourselves.
They have recently been involved in a gender fluid wedding dress photo shoot that gave us major heart eyes AND gave a big middle finger to the gender binary.
Let’s take a look at this shoot that gives zero fucks about our artificial notions of gender and fabulousness.

In an industry that has long been entrenched in only the most ciscentric of traditions (probably more than any other industry), it’s pretty rad to see dress designers and photographers embracing the idea of gender fluidity.
Plus, we all need a little more Jeffrey in our lives…

I don’t discriminate against the LGBT community, but believed that this photo shoot was unrealistic. Yes, I realize that often lesbian couples will both wear tailored men’s style suits, but the heels and the bride’s dresses on the male model?) If both were males and chose to wear dresses, heels and makeup than okay.
I am open-minded and tolerant very accepting of human rights and sexual orientation, gender identity, etc. P.S. I do love your website and have for years, so just consider this a different point of view.
That’s the great thing! It’s something you wouldn’t expect but something that is still totally realistic. Bisexual or pansexual (or many other nuanced sexyalities) men still get married. And should be able to wear whatever makes them feel fabulous and beautiful on their wedding day.
Dusti, I want to apologize for my comment. People do have the right to dress and love and marry how and who they wish. Thankfully that is now possible in the U.S. and many other countries. I am happy that it has changed from the days when gays had to hide in the closet and live double lives. I also glad that this unique website shares ideas, vendors, advice and weddings for everyone!!
The model isn’t male though, they are genderqueer. Excerpt from their website:
“Jeffrey Marsh identifies as genderqueer and uses they as their singular pronoun.”
Jeffrey does not identify as “male”. Rather, they proudly identify as “genderfluid” or “nonbinary”. That was the entire point of our shoot. Just a point of clarification. Can we deal for a second with those AWESOME shoes Jeffrey is wearing with the tea-length dress? *Covet* They are ADORABLE. (Uh, the shoes and Jeffrey). And that first white dress, with the simple beading at their waist? If I were wearing a “real” wedding dress, that might be it!

He has a half way decent figure with narrow shoulders/chest and a wide for a man pelvis. In make-up and hair he would look almost as good as the female model.
