Kathryn of Kathryn Cooper Weddings got to capture Kat and Bliss’ engagement shoot on the Big Island of Hawaii! Kat and Bliss had never traveled to Hawaii together before, so this was an engagement session and a new adventure rolled into one. Since Kathryn’s a local, she brought them to lesser-known beaches that made for intimate and gorgeous engagement photos! Kat and Bliss even brought their own prop, the LGBTQ+ Pride flag, and got cozy underneath it for a few sweet shots.

How do two whip-smart, sarcastic, galavanting gals from Minnesota end up celebrating on Big Island, Hawaii? It all started at a networking event organized by a friend. Bliss and Kat’s chance encounter that evening sparked a beautiful relationship that took these brides all over the globe, from Asia to Africa. Naturally, they proposed to each other in Morocco–I mean, where else?! Bubbly, kind, and funny as all get out, these two made my job as a photographer so much darn fun.
