Vintage snack: daisies and denim in 1975

At a Glance

With the bride’s long, flowing hair and the groom’s epic beard, it can only be a wedding 1975. Check out this vintage snack where home-grown daisies are the decor and fashion of choice.

White denim and blue denim and daisies, oh my! With her long, flowing hair and his epic beard, it can only be 1975. And who wouldn’t love a veil topped by tons of home-grown daisies?

The big question remains… does The Gap still sell denim suits?

Here is what Olivia had to say about her parents:

My parents got married in the summer of 1975 in Vermont. My mom’s dress was white denim with amazing lace detail (I wish the picture showed it!) and it was originally intended to be a bridesmaid dress, so she paid next to nothing for it. My dad wore a blue denim suit off the rack at The Gap. His red gingham tie was made by my mom, as well as the adorable red gingham and lace dresses the bridesmaids wore (I wish I had those photos too). The entire wedding was FULL of daisies that were grown in her parents’ backyard. They will be celebrating 36 years together this year and they are still disgustingly and adorably in love.

Is it just my imagination or are daisies the happiest flowers EVAR? There is just something sort of celebratory about the daisy. It’s like nature’s way of saying YAY!!

Hahaha That is exactly how I describe my own parents! They will be married 30 yrs in April, and still stare at each other like teenagers.
