Konstantina rocked a colorful polka dot wedding dress, light blue wedding shoes, and a super colorful bouquet that channeled Alice in Wonderland. If that’s not enough to get you all in, I don’t know what will. But we’re going to try! The groom, Giannis, took the reins in planning the Alice in Wonderland-themed wedding down to the ideas, photos, and details. They were going for magical over childish, and totally succeeded.

The centerpieces were hats, characters, and candies in lieu of flowers. There were pastel cupcakes, a topsy-turvy cake, “drink me” bottles, clocks, Cheshire Cats, and a rockin’ time all around at this wedding in Thessaloniki, Greece.

“Once Trump was elected, we decided that we (along with our friends and family) really needed a good party to restore some much-needed warm fuzzies.” And thus started a seriously sweet winter wonderland wedding full of handmade bouquets, killer readings, a ring bearing dog, and a gorgeous dessert table (which they almost didn’t get to taste!).

Amy and Andrew are two creative people who handcrafted a gorgeous wedding with the help of their community. With help from so many, they made bouquets and boutonnières from farmers market flowers they bought that morning, famous family desserts for the reception, a ceramicist friend made their cake topper, and Amy even found her dress on Craigslist. Andrew made flasks for his groomsmen out of clay and metal, materials he uses daily anyway.

Guests sat on blankets on a hill at the ceremony like it was an outdoor concert! But our favorite part was their photo booth. They had a giant canvas with paints so that the guests could create their own backdrop. You’ve got to see this handcrafted wedding in North Carolina…
