A daddy/daughter cake smooshing and emerald green dress at this Ohio wedding
Joanna and Keon shared a gorgeous garden wedding at Whetstone Park of Roses in Ohio complete with the bride’s emerald green gown and colorful bouquet, the groom’s killer socks and adorable bow tie, and “to infinity and beyond” cake topper (a favorite line shared by both the groom and his daughter). But the sweetest tidbit of all is the shared moment between the bride and the groom’s daughter at the ceremony. Oh wait, maybe it was the daddy/daughter cake smooshing. Either way, there are some must-see moments at this Ohio wedding. Don’t miss the seed packet favors, too!
A self-officiated sunrise summit elopement
“We made the climb by headlamp, snuggled up with each other while the day got brighter, and then parted ways to change clothes in private. When we were both ready, we just met back in the middle and went for it — no rehearsal, no audience. It was off-the-cuff, and mostly casual, and absolutely perfect.” Elopements make us teary with their intimacy, and this one is no exception. Come for the romance, stay for the gorgeous scenery.
Hang on tight for dinosaur skellies, kitteh shoes, and a first dance under a T-Rex
You must see this Jewish wedding surrounded by dinosaurs at the Houston Museum of Natural Science in Houston, Texas. Samantha and Matt are Californians originally from Houston, and they held their wedding in their home city. Things not to miss: the ceremony overlooking the dino skellies in the Paleontology Hall, the Charlotte Olympia cat shoes (cat ladies unite!), and the first dance underneath a T-Rex. The tablescapes were all different, with moss and grass in terrarium glass bells. You may drool over their macaron-covered cake, too.
Jess & Simon’s colour-bomb, sparkle motion, foodie wedding
Lots of colour, handmade details, and a lovely working farm — this wedding has so much decor and foodie cred. These parents found adorable ways to incorporate their daughter, their family, and even their pooch into the day. Don’t miss the naked cake, the colorful yarn hearts, giant confetti send-off, and nom-worthy food photos for daaaays.
