Kirstin & Earl’s gothic-inspired masquerade wedding
A luscious red dress, a guy-linered groom, an amazing theater venue, and a plan to make everyone mix and mingle that included ornate masks — this spooky Halloween wedding in Salem, Oregon makes our knees quake in fear… I mean lust! Add in some movie and video game-themed music and some costume-clad guests and you’re in for a spooky time with a super gorgeous backdrop.
Alicia & Jonah’s nature-focused Native American wedding
Our ceremony was a traditional Ojibwa wedding, performed by an Ojibwa elder. Ojibwa is an eastern Canadian native American tribe which is Jonah’s ancestry. Our wedding was held outdoors from ceremony to pictures to dinner to reception. The reception was held at night under a patch of trees. We danced on a grass dance floor.
Katlin & Vadim’s Star Trek Jewish wedding in a garden
This wedding is such an awesome mix of geeky and traditional: Star Trek meets Conservadox Judaism. Although this pair encountered some family drama, they totally triumphed with their chosen family and kicked ass in their Starfleet uniforms, Vulcan ears, and lovely garden ceremony.
Catherine & Jeffrey’s Alice in Wonderland-themed circus reception
Fire dancers, circus performers, Alice in Wonderland costumes, and a big fireworks show — this is a theme combination that rocks hard. Feast your eyes on the chair jugglers, dancers, and of course, guests dressed as cards, the Queen of Hearts, and the Mad Hatter. And of course, the blue corset gown and dapper top hat on the bride and groom give us the feels, too!
