Aja and Brian’s comic books meet Doctor Who wedding was an awesome blend of elegance and geekiness. With the backdrop of The Atrium at the Curtis Center in Philly and the TARDIS and superhero details, it fit this fab and geeky pair perfectly.

You’ll dig the card box that Brian and his dad built to look like the TARDIS and comic book character USB favors. Oh, and don’t miss their surprise “reveal cake” that was all business in the front and party in the back.

Lauren and Kyle are two wonderfully weird creatures from outer space who are super in love with each other (also Earth-bound visual artists and programmers whose art mixes light work, electronics and sound, while exploring human’s interactions). Lauren’s “Conversacube” (a device she created that offers random words to ease strangers into a conversation) were installed on every table at the reception, and Kyle’s magnificent light installation lit the whole room all night.

It’s all fun and games until an epic cueca starts (learn what it is!)

“The couple that plays together stays together” was the motto of Drea and Steve’s wedding. This was evident from start: the wedding invitation that was delivered in a cornhole bag! Drea is Chilean and took the first dance seriously. They performed a cueca, a traditional choreographed dance from Chile that mimics a couple’s courting with handkerchiefs.
