Sea-inspired wedding meets masquerade

Rubber ducks and blue hair: we love this sea-inspired wedding meets masquerade

Rachel and Rial love whimsy and some of their memories are of enjoying the ocean together, so naturally, their wedding had a sea-inspired wedding meets masquerade. Their wedding showcased the most vibrant colors for hair, bouquets (made by Rachel), wedding party attire, elaborate masks, sea glass, and even rubber duckies for party favors because they are one of Rial’s favorite things. Oh, and the rubber ducky cake toppers were hand painted to match their hair and attire of the couple. You’ll love the groom’s vows on bended knee!

Ring Pops, donuts, and ladies in love at this Voodoo Donuts ceremony

Ring Pops, donuts, and ladies in love at this Voodoo Donuts wedding

Natya and Kris had a small but kick-ass ceremony at the famous Voodoo Donuts in Portland, OR. There were, as always, about 20 people in line at the store and many more outside along the sidewalk. This meant that there were tons of onlookers, many of whom only just realized there was a tiny wedding happening.
There were gorgeous photos out by the waterfront, a sweet (literally and figuratively!) donut-filled ceremony with Ring Pop rings, and a gorgeous pair of ladies in love. Let’s take a peek at this Voodoo Donuts wedding…

A Renaissance fairy tale fantasy wedding

Let me introduce you to one of my fave kind of weddings: the Renaissance faire wedding! This one has it all: big turkey legs, a DRAGON CAKE, man braids, Ren faire garb, an Elsa-inspired dress, a horse-drawn carriage exit, a toast by the king and queen, and even a pike-arch entrance to the reception. This is royal as hell and we LOVE it.

Science + art wedding as seen on @offbeatbride

Scientists and flasks abound at this science meets art wedding

Victoria and John crafted a “mad naturalist” science-theme with lots of nature and metallics. It was a total blend of science meets art. The octagon backdrop was made from copper pipe, and John made the himmeli ornaments. Victoria loves gardening, so she planted all the herb favors herself from seeds. She also made the wedding signs and wrote the place cards. They even featured wooden dinosaur models, John’s rock collection, and famous scientists as table names. It was a nerdy and chic extravaganza!
