A zoo wedding with handmade international details

Jennifer and Abdoulaye are truly an international couple: she hails from the States and he’s from Guinea, and they met while working in Mali. A coup d’état in the country led to Jennifer moving back home, and their relationship blossomed thanks to Skype and long-distance phone calls. Once reunited in the US they quickly eloped, and hosted a wedding a few months later at the Virginia Zoo.

Friends and family helped out in a big way for Lucy and Dan’s vegan Buddhist wedding in the UK. To repay them the couple wanted to make the day as fun as possible, and they came up with a ton of great ideas — including fashioning up a photo booth alternative by hanging a frame outside.

A fantastically gorgeous math- and Lost-themed Costa Rican wedding

Jinger and Calvin got married completely off the grid. They from their hometown of New York City to the southern jungles of the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica. The rugged conditions matched the Lost-themed day, with everything from the save the dates to the bridal party’s entrance music included nods to the television series.
