De-stressing wedding planning by changing my wedding party expectations
There are a number of wedding traditions that soon translate into serious expectations for family and the wedding party. Family members and the wedding party are expected to step up and donate time, energy, and most importantly–money, to help the new couple launch their lives together. Here’s how I de-stressed my wedding planning by changing my wedding party expectations…
This colorful laid-back wedding had a potluck pickle bar & a flamenco dance
Just wait until you hear how this couple crowdsourced a whole bunch of pickled goodness for their very own pickle bar at their wedding in Minnesota. We’re talking green tomato, watermelon slices, asparagus, okra, beet, and burdock root pickles, among others! Come for the pickles, but STAY for the amazing flamenco dance later at the reception.
What is dead may never die: dried flower bouquets are STUNNING
I’ve been hanging, drying, and pressing flowers since those old high school dance corsages. Now it’s time to channel that dried flower nostalgia into some seriously beautiful dried flower bouquet for your wedding. Here is some dried flower inspiration for bouquets, table decor, and even hanging flowers!
See black sand beaches and geothermal caves at this Iceland honeymoon elopement
This pair had a wedding in Iceland followed by a honeymoon which would explore the entire island. Natural cave exploring was next on the agenda where they waded through water to get to a stunning spot. Shortly after, a picnic awaited them on a private black sand beach. Hand-in-hand venturing through moss-covered lava fields followed lunch. The photographer harnessed in and repelled off a cliff at the next stop to get an epic shot of the couple with a secret waterfall. They explored a colorful lighthouse, bird watched among golden cliffs, and ended the day at a hidden geothermal area.
Are you ready for some seriously EPIC shots of this Iceland honeymoon and elopement?
