I never imagined having a wedding until we did: how to throw a “non-wedding”
No one ever thought I would get married. Except I actually love weddings! I watch bridal shows and browse the stories and DIY projects on Offbeat Bride. When friends get married I’m super happy for them. But I can’t stand the thought of having a big wedding party for myself or see myself as a princess in white. We decided to get married anddecided to throw a party. Therein we have our challenge…
Balloons and gold glitter at this vintage chic Portland wedding
aren and Joel’s vintage chic Portland wedding was seriously beautiful. Think tons of flora and fauna with cats, polka dots, gold, blue, mint, and peach colors everywhere. Their cat, George, was present in spirit — he was on the invitations, the program, on a custom pocket square for Joel, and in their vows. Yay for fellow cat people! Don’t miss the hand-dyed table linens, gold glitter vases, paper garland, and gold animal place cards.
How can we make our gluten-free cake alternative look fancier?
My fiancé and I are both gluten-free and decided on a fall apple crisp instead of a cake. How do we dress it up for the wedding? I searched the internet far and wide and all I see are towers of cupcakes, donuts, and pies. I can’t figure out how to make a big tray of apple crisp look like a special dessert. We don’t need one hundred tiny glass jars and a throwaway option isn’t our style. Any ideas on making our gluten-free cake alternative look fancier?
Let’s bow down to this garden wedding with the crop top wedding dress of our dreams
Amani and Josh, Broadway actress and sound guru respectively, are creative forces who put together one hell of a backyard-style garden wedding. The wedding was held in one of Austin’s most interesting venue spaces, Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, and featured a fab crop top dress, an embroidered groom’s jacket, the jumping of the broom, and so many colorful details in the decor.
