Rock Band, drag kings, and burlesque: this rainbow wedding triumphs
Crystal and Kalem wanted the focus of their wedding to be on major FUN, so that called for Rock Band, board games, personalized crossword puzzles, Mad Libs, a rapper, drag kings, and burlesque. Add in a ring warming, a moment of silence/blessing during the ceremony, a handfasting, and an art gallery surprise from Kalem with loads of art, this rainbow wedding gave us reason to LIVE.
In lieu of a first dance, they had a first Rock Band song, and their six parental figures joined for a family performance.

Megan and Dale had an Alice in Wonderland-themed wedding with touches of anime, manga, gaming, and general geekery. One detail that really made the neck hair tingle was Megan’s gorgeous, custom dress (wings and butterflies included!). The photo of the guests reacting was our reaction, too. Cue mouth agape emoji! I’m both maid of honor AND best woman at my best friends’ wedding
My friends Beth and Eric (formerly Beth and Katrina!) are getting married, and I’m both the maid of honor AND the best woman. Yeah. Even for somebody completely qualified to fulfill these roles, this is a daunting task, and I am probably one of the least qualified people to be given such an honor. Balancing both of these roles is challenging no matter how much I care for both of them. Especially when they come into conflict. Here’s how I’m handling it…
