Time travel might not be possible (yet), but Jenn and Dave’s retro wedding certainly transported us to a different decade with its groovy vibes that were seriously far out (captured by TMinspired Photography)! From the engagement shoot to the reception, this wedding was all about the good old days. Some people say they were born in the wrong decade… but Jenn and Dave are fully embracing it! They chose the perfect nostalgic locations to celebrate their marriage. Trust us, these photos will have you pining for a different era – and maybe a burger and some roller skates. If you’re a child of the ’60s or ’70s (either for real or in spirit), you’re going to totally dig this wedding!
This retro wedding’s engagement shoot looked tasty AF
Say cheese… burger! Jenn and Dave began their retro theme well before their wedding day when they chose the ultimate nostalgic spot for their engagement shoot – a drive-in burger joint. Not only that, but they got their (soon to be greasy) hands on a vintage red mustang so they could ride in style and truly immerse themselves in another era. We especially love Jenn’s colorful dress that gives a subtle nod to their retro theme. Not sure about y’all, but we wanted to curl up in the backseat with our boo (and a burger) after seeing these photos (*googles nearest drive-in diner*)!

This retro wedding started off on a high note
Jenn and Dave took a brief pause from the retro theme for their wedding ceremony, which took place at a Seattle courthouse. But this was no ordinary courthouse ceremony… they said “I do” on the courthouse’s rooftop, giving them one of the best views of the city and the coastline (and an amazing backdrop for photos). They followed the ceremony with a brief jaunt through the streets of Seattle for some adorable urban photographs. With smiles that big and a gorgeous dress like Jenn's, these two were bound to stop traffic! And we lied, there WAS one vintage part of their ceremony… Jenn wore her mom’s veil – cue the tears!

This couple skated into marriage in style at their retro wedding
Jenn and Dave stayed on theme post-ceremony and swapped the typical dance floor for a roller rink! I mean, can you get more retro than that? They looked so natural together as they had their first skate on the roller rink floor. One of the benefits of having their reception at a roller rink was that it was already decorated on-theme (there’s a disco ball, for god’s sake), but we absolutely love the little details they added, like the flower bouquet inside a roller skate, their record guest book, and their Polaroid cameras so guests could help capture the moment. One of the cons of the roller rink reception: they only had two hours for set-up, photos, mingling with guests, food, and clean up. But they pulled it off without breaking a sweat (except the sweat they worked up showing off their skate moves)!

So cute. So vintage. And so perfectly them. That’s what made Jenn and Dave’s day pure magic—it embodied them!

We were seriously jivin’ with this adorable retro wedding
We’re off to the roller rink to boogie down after getting a peek into this retro wedding… Jenn and Dave are literally skating through life together, and they look darn good doing it. Best wishes to you both as you roll into this next chapter!
