Betsy & Josh’s retro and rock theater wedding
A little Slayer, some Stray Cats, vintage-style fashion, and a 1942 Oldsmobile made this wedding a rock-lover’s wet dream. But it wasn’t all hard-edge and kicking ass. The couple’s daughter made for some sweet photos and the dancing shots are grin-inducing. It’s a mix of hard rock and lace in this vintage-inspired wedding in an art deco theater.
Sarah & Bryan’s nerdy barn bash wedding
High fives all around for this wedding! They started with a mission statement of sorts, and stuck to it with style. From the canned preserves favors to the beverage tickets to the treat-before-you-seat, this couple made their guests feel welcome to their new family.
A sweet barn wedding with a string band
Maggie and Theresia made almost all of the decor themselves including all of the tablecloths, bunting, and book centerpieces. Friends made their cake and each of their grandmas made cookies. One of their favorite memories was when their friends, who had formed a band and practiced for weeks for this event, performed “Home” by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros.
Angi & Erik’s upcycled country barn wedding
This was a wedding with a lot of hidden surprises: I didn’t see the awesome bouquet, brunch buffet, and upcycled window/seating chart until I hit the Flickr set! There is a lot of DIY to see, a few repurposed items (bride’s dress, machinist-made rings!), and a whole lot of sweet details in this countrified barn wedding.
