Silpi & Shawn’s handmade Indian-fusion cabaret wedding
This Canadian couple brought together the best of Western and Indian cultures for this fusion wedding. Add that to the mad crafting skills, fabulous yellow saris, talent-filled cabaret performances, and really fun guest book idea, and you’ve got a fabulous party for all involved. Plus, you’ll definitely want to check out the groom’s boy band performance!
Teal and red with skulls all over at this Las Vegas wedding
Whisper and Dustin met overseas in Korea where Whisper was teaching and Dustin was also working. After their work arrangements overseas were over, they decided to travel to Las Vegas to get married. the ceremony was held at Stratosphere overlooking the strip. One of Las Vegas’ oldest strip restaurants, The Peppermill, hosted the reception. Vegas makes an awesome backdrop to teal and red skull details, fabulous paper flowers, and this gorgeous couple.
A dapper as hell groom and his super chic posse
Can we just take a second and talk about this groom’s ensemble? From the top: kick-ass plugs, mini-handlebar mustache, AWESOME striped bow tie, pink chambray shirt (from Propercloth), and of course, a fabulous suit from one of our favorite vendors for grooms and dapper brides, [vendor-heart link="http://offbeatwed.net/2012/03/custom-suits"]Duchess Clothier[/vendor-heart].
Erin & Jay’s queer Jewish Dominican wedding
This pair has an awesomely diverse community willing to celebrate and totally donate their time and energy into making this wedding rock. And boy, did it. In addition to the bride’s handmade dress (out of a sari!) and groom’s kick-ass suit, there was wedding party aisle dancing, ukulele toasts, and a giant group hug right after the ceremony.
