Alex & Jim had a colorful, movie themed wedding complete with popcorn flower bouquets, fab Marilyn-esque bridesmaid dresses, and a Buddy Holly look-alike father of the bride.
Janna & Nick’s Motorcycle-themed, whimsical wedding celebration
After seeing Janna’s motorcycle sprocket bouquet (and, for some of us, learning what a sprocket is), we knew that we had to know all about this wedding and the creative, motorcylcle-loving (and, as it turns out, ex-wrestler and theater geek) couple behind it. Some of us (me) also have totally developed friend/mentor crushes on the bride. -Becca
A crafty potluck wedding
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow, Part 1 comes out today and since I can’t see the movie until my parent’s come into town in a few days, my Harry needs MUST be filled. And filled they are with Jen and Mike’s Harry Potter themed wedding! There’s Honeyduke’s sweetshop, The Three Broomstick Bar, and tables named after Potter places like The Leaky Cauldron and The Hog’s Head.
Melinda & Paul’s disability-friendly, southern, sports rivalry wedding
Paul wanted a traditional Catholic wedding, whereas Melinda wanted to let her true colors shine. So they met in the middle and had a Catholic ceremony, followed by a rockin’ reception at the hall next to Edgar Allen Poe’s grave. The best part of the day for Melinda was when she walked without her crutches for the first time in eighteen years!
