Lane & Jeff’s eco-conscious upcycled wedding
You know a wedding has made good eco choices when you only end up with a small grocery bag of trash at the end. Add that to the fabulously upcycled dress, DIYed napkins, coffee filter flowers, homemade jam favors, massive potluck (with nine pies!), and an awesome depression-era band, and you’ll love this sweet outdoor, budget party.
A sun-filled same-sex Jewish wedding with an eco-friendly mindset
With an eye for using local businesses and salvaged materials, we already like this wedding. But add in two gorgeous ladies, a fabulous spring day at Joaquin Miller Park, and a personalized chuppah, and I am in! Don’t miss the matching purple flats and bookish details too.
Excellent eco-friendly invitation inspiration on the DIY tip
Want your wedding invitations to be eco-friendly, but to not skimp on the pretty factor? Hana DIYed her invitations, and not only do they look gorgeous, they’re also uber eco-friendly in so many ways. Eco, DIY, whatever aside, I just ADORE the way she attached the info to the hand-made invite backing.
Casey & Adam’s local school-themed wedding
The bride works in education, and with library card menus, “brown bag lunch” favors, school lockers, a big yellow school bus, and a yearbook guest book, this wedding was a perfect fit for our Bookish theme week. Plus, they took an unwanted extra wall in their reception area and turned it into a giant chalkboard for amazing chalk art! You will love this school yard-meets-marriage wedding.
