A little bit retro, a little bit punk: this woodsy Maine wedding was all them

A little bit retro, a little bit punk: this woodsy Maine wedding has it all

Siobhan and Tom’s wedding had a retro feel with just some hints of punk and rock ‘n’ roll. They were in a pop punk band together in Seattle, so their wedding took some inspiration from their musical background. They also had pizza, donuts, Simpsons references, and seriously gorgeous Maine fall foliage.

Don’t miss the macrame backdrop, floral bridesmaids dresses, and mismatched plates…

A handmade Victorian picnic wedding in the mountains (with the most gorgeous rain & mist photos!)

A handmade Victorian picnic wedding in the mountains (with the most gorgeous rain & mist photos!)

We had a small wedding with only 20 guests, but because it was small, we were able to have all guests participate in the all-white/beige Victorian theme. Most everything was handmade and sourced by us including hand-drawn and printed wooden invitations, bridal party gifts, individually selected vintage tea plates and cutlery, crystal coupe glasses, embroidered napkins, and all decorations.

Get ready for this Gothic Midsummer Night’s Dream wedding in a forest

If I had to put a label on it, I would call our wedding a "Gothic Midsummer Night's Dream." We made sure to include a ton of natural and rustic elements like crystals, logs, animal bones, and balanced those raw materials with dark elegant pieces to get that "we just magically threw together a fancy party in the woods" vibe. James and I are both artists, so it only made sense that almost all our decorations/accessories were made by us. Don’t miss how we narrowed down our venue search!

A fairylit wedding in the woods (with flower kitty and folk dancing)

“It was a woodsy, naturalistic fall-themed wedding with twinkling lights all around. The magpie aesthetic showcased the uniqueness of found items, like an old chandelier hanging from a tree, a tiny bicycle covered with ivy, a table made from an old tree stump. The setup followed the natural curvature of the forest, which led to an asymmetrical seating pattern and the bridal party coming in from the side.” Just from that you can tell this wedding is going to be SOMETHING. Get ready to be wowed by the beauty of this fairylit wedding in the woods…
