Giselle & Alan’s pirate handfasting wedding
Y’aaaaar! A pirate’s wedding for me! This geeky pair loves pirates and loves costumes EVEN MORE! So when it came to getting all the guests involved, these two did some serious pirate strong-arming and it totally worked. There were corsets, swords instead of bouquets, and no landlubbers in sight.
How to make (and wield!) your own sword bouquet
A few days ago, I had an idea for the bridesmaids’ bouquets to have a sword hilt for a handle.I just finished the first one, version 1.0, and there are some things I want to tweak and change. But for the most part, this is it! Now, let me show you how I made it so that you too can wield your flowers on your special day.
Jen & Nick’s Warcraft and weaponry wedding
Pick a side: Horde or Alliance for this geektastic World of Warcraft, LEGO, and crafted weapons (worthy of the best cosplay) wedding. Instead of a sweetheart table, a loot table… instead of traditional table numbers, raid bosses. Pick your weapon, regen your mana, and get ready to raid at this wedding worthy of the word “WoW.”
Gwen & Mark’s geeky fantasy barn wedding
A countryside handfasting, geeky references all over the place, and sweet homemade touches (like the bride’s handmade dress!) — this UK wedding is a dream for geeky lovers of gorgeous scenery. Add in some giant lawn games like Jenga and Connect Four and this turned into a seriously fun fête. Keep a look out for the Blackadder reference in the unity ceremony, too!
