How do you make sure guests don’t get confused by your offbeat ceremony invitation?
I was recently approached by a family member who received an invitation to an offbeat ceremony. While the invitee was thrilled to be invited, the question arose… what is this event? Wedding? Elaborate costume party? Dinner theater? Nowhere on the invite was it specified. So with offbeat invites… what is the best way of making sure your guests aren’t confused about the event they’re attending?
Jennie & Daniel’s tropical adventure-themed zoo wedding
Animals, adventure, and retro travel… now that’s a wild wedding setup. With lots of DIY from the crafty bride and some dance floor shenanigans, this zoo wedding was bound to bring out everyone’s animal side. Get ready for animal prints, peacock feathers, animal crackers, and tropical-themed centerpieces.
Will you be our Companions?: Whovian wedding party proposal boxes
These wedding party proposal boxes were loosely based off the idea of those cute “Be My Maid” boxes that regularly pop up on Pinterest, as well as the awesome spin-offs I’ve seen on Offbeat Bride. Since we are having a Doctor Who wedding, the boxes had to be Whovian.
Melaney & John’s small town Tex-Mex dinosaur rock wedding
Let’s see here: dinosaurs (and a dino adult piñata!), a small town outdoor setting with a big cocktail gathering before the ceremony, and 34 DOZEN tamales… where do I sign up for this wedding? Oh, and don’t forget the groom’s and the bride’s mother’s live band performances, the Monty Python call-out in the ceremony, and the unintentional ass-grab by the groom during the first dance!
