Danielle & Russell’s “NormPod Wedding Experience” all around San Francisco

This whirlwind of a wedding goes all over San Francisco, on top of a two-story carousel, into parks and pubs, and flies a kite the whole time. Plus, it’s so much of a whirlwind that it started 45 minutes early and the couple didn’t even realize it! You might remember this bride from her GoPro bouquet, so here’s the full, amazing, colorful story from the couple themselves.

Heather & Johnathan’s nerdy summer picnic wedding

These two had some interesting dilemmas: managing expectations from a very Catholic family and a not-so-Catholic family, balancing the needs of disabilities and the recovery community, and having a super low budget. But we can all learn from this bride’s kick-ass attitude about keeping things accessible and authentic! Plus, we’re totally behind any wedding that ends with a D&D campaign.

Megan & Joe’s relaxed daytime wedding with a hug line

This wedding is all about learning experiences: you don’t need fancy “yay” flags when simple ones bring as much fun, dads are sometimes more mushy-gushy than they let on (see the flashing baby photos for proof!), and sometimes a daytime wedding with fabulous food (drooool potatoes) is totally the way to go. Plus: learn what the hell a “hug line” is and how you can get one, too!

Elizabeth & Joshua’s “spring in winter” orange grove wedding

Orange groves, bee details, and pastel hues: it’s the stuff of miracles when snow covers many of us. This wedding also boasts a fabulous handmade dress, potluck food (AND potluck performances!), a tree planting ceremony, and adorable wedding party fashion. So much sweetness, so little time.
