Register for these home goods AND use them at your wedding
I recently moved, and have been buying things like curtains and rugs for the new space, and was thinking “holy shit, these would also be cool to use at a wedding.” So, inspired by my recent purchases, here are some things you could add to your registry (Amazon registries FTW!) and then I hope to see some of these things at your weddings…
10 offbeat and useful things to add to your wedding registry
These are the registry truths we hold self-evident: No one needs a registry and you don’t need a registry full of physical objects. But for those of us who DO want to do a wedding registry, you might be stumped for ideas about what to add. Never fear! There’s no need to go into a store and pick up a digital scanner… we gotchoo.
Today, I’m going to look at 10 offbeat and useful things to add to your registry. Some of them are just straight-up weird (rainbow unicorn mugs, anyone?), some of them are weirdly useful, and some of them are both!

As some of you may know, I’m not just the Managing Editor of Offbeat Bride, I’m also the Managing Editor of our sister site, Offbeat Home & Life. Offbeat Home is where I geek out over home goods, decor, and gifts. I thought I’d round up some of my favorite home goods and serve them up to you as weird and awesome ideas for your weird and awesome wedding registries.
My tacky registry: Why I think registry etiquette is bullshit
Sometimes I browse the Knot (I know I KNOW) for etiquette tips about things I’m not sure of (traditional wording on invites, etc) or to get an outside perspective. Talk about a mistake! The last time I did this was to try and get a handle on exactly WHY it is such a breech of etiquette to do anything other than a traditional, scan gun, store registry. I bring this up only to point out my first big issue with “wedding etiquette” and that’s the mistake of thinking that what’s rude is universal. It isn’t.
