A little while ago, Laura of [vendor-heart link="http://rebelbelleweddings.com/"]Rebel Belle Weddings[/vendor-heart] and I attended a Star Wars-themed birthday party. I went as Luke on Dagobah. Laura broke out her Jedi robes and went as a Rebel wedding planner, complete with a binder labeled “Rebel Weddings: Leia and Han.” The binder was filled with detailed wedding plans for Han and Leia’s future wedding aboard the Millennium Falcon (of course)…
Giovanna & Jonathan’s colorful gamers and costumes wedding
When a Stormtrooper walks you down the aisle and Darth Vader is the flower girl, you know you’re in for something geektastically awesome. Add in the video game details, the epic costume party, and the amazingly colorful reception dress, and it’s on like Donkey Kong. Oh, and wait until you see their lightsaber candle ceremony!
Melissa & Joe’s Star Wars masquerade ball
It’s Star Wars week and today we’ve got a Star Wars-themed masquerade with handmade masks, a Yoda officiant, and a wedding party complete with all the major characters from the movies. Add in the LED bouquets, the “future preview” movies, life-sized Han in carbonite, and mini lightsabers for everyone, and you’ve got a wedding to make any Star Wars fan start heavy breathing. Oh, and wait until you see the surprise reception dance!
Unity geekness: a sneak peek of a lightsaber candle unity ceremony
You’ll be seeing more of Giovanna and Jonathan’s Star Wars costume wedding (including Vader flower girl!) later this week, but I couldn’t wait to tease their kick-ass candles-meet-lightsabers unity ceremony! Now that’s some slick traditional/offbeat blending right there.
