Karen and Frank’s elven-inspired wedding featured a little ritual that I think y’all are really going to want to hear about: an elemental unity ceremony. They utilized the elements of fire, earth, air, and water during their wedding, which fits beautifully with their other-worldly theme.
Make a DIY wedding garland from materials sent by friends & family
A really special part of the decor were all the felted garlands that hung around the reception and ceremony. Family and friends from around the world created these, sending packages full of felted balls to us during the engagement. We strung these and used them as decoration to create a cozy, intimate feel, as well as include guests who couldn’t attend.
Think “holding up” as an alternative to “giving away” the bride
For those who’d like to include the traditional walk down the aisle with a deeply loved parental figure but choke a bit on the whole concept of “giving away,” maybe all that’s required is some alternative thinking. This person has supported you and loved you, whomever they may be — how lovely to let them “hold you up” as you walk toward your partner.
DIY boutonniere miracle: magnetic boutonniere backs
Ash and Adam rocked some pretty killer DIY boutonnieres, but the real story is that Ash rigged them together with magnetic backs!
