Amanda and Jason met on an online dating service, so since they had technology to thank for their meeting, it's not surprising that it became a HUGE part of their elopement. They, their two guests, their officiant, and their photographer (Melanie Grizzel from She-n-He Photography) turned off their cell phones and turned on their cameras. The rest was history: a Skyped elopement.
To say that Amanda is obsessed with owls would be a gross understatement. When Jason proposed to Amanda he rented and wore a gigantic owl costume, and she only knew it was him cause she spotted his shoes underneath. Spoiler alert: She said yes.
When they decided that an elopement was right for them, they found Austin Texas' The Inn at Wild Rose Hall on Offbeat Bride!
Amanda is a DIYer and she made her bouquet, the boutonnieres, and handbags for her and her “bridesmaids.”
She packed them all up into her suitcase and brought them to Austin.

For their reception dinner they hired a personal chef to prepare their first meal as husband and wife — diner food! Omelets, bacon, home-fries, and local artisan bread. Yummers!
