Laura & Garrett’s budget- and kid-friendly wedding
Camels and zebras and children — oh my! There’s no better recipe for Southern fun than animals, kids, and balloons. Oh, and tons of pies WITH handmade recipe book favors. And a lollipop miracle at the ceremony. And a super sweet moment with the bride’s father during their father/daughter dance. And so much more. SO MUCH!
Plants vs. Zombies and tons of TARDIS blue: a sunny North Carolina wedding
Erika and Emmanuel chose a Raleigh, North Carolina Moroccan restaurant called Babylon for their ceremony and reception spot. The venue’s brightly colored interior and exterior definitely complemented the fun vibe of the day! Wedding decor included wedding flags decorated with hearts and flags that read “Yay” and “Huzzah,” and Erika and Emmanuel carried their own “Mr. and Mrs. Emmerika” flags.
Betsy & Tiffany’s queer Southern glitter circus wedding
Red and blue and DIY all over — these two ladies know how to throw a stylish and entertaining wedding! They included all of their talented community — performers and bakers alike — and their tribute to what their specific type of marriage means to them is tear-inducing and spot-on. And you MUST see one of the bride’s mom’s awesome, newly acquired aerialist skills! She’s one bad-ass mother.
Meghan & Kristian’s local-loving paper flowers wedding
Paper flowers, local friendors, and a love for their hometown make this wedding hit home. Plus, this bride took two vintage dresses and made her own dove grey dream dress with 70 years of history. And we will all learn at least one thing from this wedding: keep the dance floor splits to a minimum or face the crotch consequences!
