Our Forevertron wedding at the Evermor Sculpture Park:

We've been coming to the Evermor Sculpture Park for 28 years, and the magic you feel walking in is overwhelming. One man's vision has changed our lives. I have brought hundreds of people here over the years!

I would say we had a pretty short-lived courting experience — after 3 dates, we knew that we were supposed to be together forever, so it was a pretty fast track on the wedding.

A lot of the stuff we utilized was from the dollar store, friends, or just stuff that we had already had lying around. We really didn't purchase a lot of items for the wedding – it really was just more of a celebration of people being there and being as weird as we were.

We basically just gave the directive of wear something purple, or a costume, or a onesie, or whatever you feel comfortable in to share our day with us… and that's what people did, and it was fabulous!

About our Forevertron wedding at the Evermor Sculpture Park ceremony:

The vows were handwritten by each of us, and our officiant was from the Church of Dudeism.

Astarte: Jordan, you are the rainbow to my sunshine. I am way happier than I ever thought possible, and owe it to you needing a nap after a long drive. Your weird matches mine, and I can't wait to see where we go from here.

Since the day I wore a unicorn head in that church and you walked in with the goat head, I knew you were my match. You power me on love. I vow to you to be my rainbow, to have and to hold, to infinite bunches and beyond.

I don't care if we are rich, poor, sick, or healthy – I just wanna do it all with you. I promise to love and cherish you until I take my last breath. I will always support you, nurture you, and grow throughout the rest of the days of my life.

I also promise to make tasty sauces for all your sandwiches. You inspire me to be a better Me, so I can be almost as cool as you.

Jordan: Star, you are my happy place, my safe place, my fun place and my adventurous place. You also know how to handle me in my mad place and my sad place. You are my everyplace. It only takes you one touch, and I ignite. I knew the second you took me to Dr. Evermor's that I wanted to marry you here.

I promise, I will always honor and cherish every moment we have together from now until the End of Time.

Our Forevertron wedding reception:

We held our reception at Vintage Brewing Company alongside the Wisconsin River – the food was incredible, we had a dance floor, and remarkably for late October, we were blessed with almost 70° weather.

Guests were able to sit by the river to take in the view, dance, and catch up with family members that hadn't seen each other in at least 20 years. We were able to see some of our older family members get down to some pretty sweet rave music!

We had “advice for newlyweds” cards for guests to fill out, and reading the results out loud was probably my favorite part. “Never Go To Bed Mad” was a popular one.

What was the most important lesson you learned from your Forevertron wedding?

You can't control the small stuff.

This is the wedding that love created, honestly. The dress was from an online vendor, and my best friend Alyssa and I modified it extensively.

Our guests enjoyed gourmet popcorn, courtesy of my friend and the owner of “Kernel Popcorn's Factory”.

I put together all the flowers except for the mushroom bouquets, which were purchased by my maid of honor. Our friend Katie made the cake, with a topper featuring Jack and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas.

As I mentioned, I did buy a lot of stuff from the dollar store such as the table decorations and some of the lights, which all in all made our venue pretty magical!
