Amanda and Melody tied the knot after almost ten years of being together. Melody is an artist so aesthetics were key. They chose a geode theme and iridescent color scheme for the wedding details and decor. Melody brought her creative touches to the handmade bow ties, boutonnieres and bouquets made from Palo Santo and colorful gem stones, and elaborate table settings featuring black candle sticks, geodes, and photos of the couple. They even built their own geode-like backdrop for the photo booth and a friend created a fabulous geode cake.

Amanda rocked a sleek white suit and Melody wore an intricately beaded cocktail length gown with shiny silver leggings. The ceremony was officiated by a close friend and featured readings from dear friends and a wine pouring ceremony.

The couple put an important emphasis on their friends and community. In a touching moment during the reception, the brides gave a speech on the importance of their friends and families support and how meaningful their official marriage is, both personally and politically. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.
