Tip a hat to this peacock, cowboys, and cacti wedding in San Diego
Anne and Chad wanted to bring a lovable, fun, and laid-back take to their cowboys and cacti wedding in San Diego. They were married over the summer at a really fun venue in San Diego, Leo Carrillo Ranch, with peacocks roaming and sand all around.
Anne rocked a gorgeous gown while Chad took his outfit to a new level with beautiful embroidery, a bolero, and cowboy hat. This wedding is totally chock full of color and personality — the ring bearer even rode down the aisle in a John Deere tractor!
How do we clearly communicate that we want NO wedding gifts?
When it comes to gift-giving, the general consensus among my peers is that you give what you can, if you wish. As far as we’re concerned, your presence is present enough — especially considering that we are a bunch of broke Millennials.
My extended family, however, hardcore-believes in tangible gifts. Some of them are sticklers for the traditional (and comfortably middle-class) notion of extensive and expensive gifts at shower, hen party, and wedding. It’s generous, but also uncomfortable, at odds with our values, and not always string-free. How can I discourage gifts at my wedding?
Donuts, pretzels, & cheesy photo fun at this New York City elopement
Cassie and Justin met ten years ago, only a year after Cassie had moved to New York from Toronto. They wanted their wedding to reflect who they were: low key but really fun. They invited their closest friends and parents to their sweet and fun New York City elopement.
Get ready for the NYC elopement of all of our dreams…
Captain America & Peggy Carter: an iconic Marvel comics engagement shoot
Have you all seen Avengers: Infinity War yet?! If you’re still waiting, here’s a little treat to tide you over…
After seven years of dating, Sean proposed to Jess while on an Alaskan Cruise with both of their families. While planning their engagement shoot, they wanted something out of the box that celebrated one of their many fandoms (they love Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and all things Marvel!). Years ago, Sean had gifted his bride-to-be with Marvel’s Peggy Carter’s signature red fedora. That iconic hat acted as the inspiration for this Marvel comics engagement shoot.
