What’s trending in alternative wedding veils?

Are you in the market for something a little different in a wedding veil? Sure you could snag a cool wedding hat, an elaborate headpiece, or a sleek and stylish crown, but sometimes you want the grandeur of a VEIL. A birdcage, a flowing cathedral, a flowery crown with tulle… but with a twist!

I found some gorgeous doozies with colors, vintage elements, dip dyes, embroidery, stars, custom words(!), and just tons of rad and unexpected details. Here are some of my favorite alternative wedding veils…

Deirdre and Dylan planned the goth wedding of their dreams at Blackwater Castle in Castletownroche, Cork, Ireland. They started with a gorgeous church ceremony, then some creepy-chic portraits in the cemetery, and finally into the seriously majestic castle for dinner and celebration.

Are there accessible wedding invitations for sight-impaired guests?

While there are lots of invitations designers who either already produce accessible wedding invitations or can easily customize them for you, my first thought actually went to a video invitation! If you, or someone you know or can hire, can whip up a video invitation that speaks the information (at least the major highlights of date, time, location, etc.), that might be a secondary way to make sure your partner’s grandmother can watch and re-watch to get the info on to her calendar. A staircase ceremony and live band reception at this Varsity Theater wedding in Minneapolis

Andria and Donna had a theater wedding with TWO killer venues in Minneapolis. They started out with a staircase ceremony(!) at the new LRx Loring and Pharmacy Bar. Then they headed to party at their reception at Varsity Theater, a popular Minneapolis concert venue.

They had a live band (Fred Savage and the Unbeatables!), lights everywhere, and their dessert bar was drool-worthy.
