A tiny secret wedding on a forest mountaintop in Tasmania
We got overwhelmed when we started looking at wedding planning a few weeks after we got engaged. Actually, we got overwhelmed just starting to plan our engagement party. We couldn't really agree on the number of people to invite, the theme, the location, or anything else. We're both from different parts of Australia and neither of us wanted to get married in the other one's hometown, so we decided to make it simple and run away to the most beautiful part of Australia. Tasmania. and get married in secret on a mountaintop, with only our parents and siblings as witnesses.
How to DIY coloring pages from a photo for your wedding reception
We’ve been throwing around the idea of this wedding coloring sheet for years but never had a great tutorial for how to make one yourself, which you absolutely can do. Yep, you don’t have to outsource this project to someone else if you have access to a program like Photoshop, GIMP, or Pixlr. I’m going to be demonstrating it with Photoshop, but the steps are mostly translatable between each program.
Here’s how to do it…
Beaches, bunnies, & a first performance at this youth hostel wedding in England
Nicola & Lewis’ laid-back beach wedding quite literally rocked with live music, their pet bunny, hot chocolate and marshmallows, fire pits, and so much more. The setting was the Yorkshire coastline which somehow transported us to what looked like a tropical location but was actually a destination wedding at the Boggle Hole, just south of Whitby in England.
Nicola and Lewis got married on the beach in front of their friends and family, they played a song together in place of a first dance, before heading to their reception at the pirate-themed youth hostel, the Boggle Hole YHA.
Glam style meets rock at this heavy metal wedding in California
Lauren and Bryan are both huge metal music lovers and they were able to incorporate little elements of it into their absolutely gorgeous wedding. It was the best of all worlds! Lauren rocked her stunning black sequined gown, and all the groomsmen had a mini guitar/picks as their boutonnieres. Oh, and don’t miss their matching black and white Adidas, too. And what does a metal loving couple do for their invitations? Design them like a ticket to a rock concert, of course!
Each table was named after the couple’s favorite bands like Megadeath, Van Halen, Slipknot, and Def Leppard. But the real highlight of the night was when Lauren and Bryan got on stage themselves to jam with the wedding band. Check out the response from the guests. Pure concert magic.
