BIPOC

Based on reader feedback that it was “hard to find any weddings of people of color,” we started tagging posts that featured a BIPOC bride and/or groom — and/or means you’ll find tons of interracial couples in here! Increasing visibility for BIPOC folks has been a priority for us since 2008, and note that we always allow folks to self-identify. More about how and why we do this here.

A Deadpool groom?! Wins most bad-ass award of the day

Kiara and Elliott fully owned their epic superhero-themed wedding complete with Deadpool groom. It was loveliness meets kick-ass-ness. Yes, that’s a word! Between the bride’s gorgeous gown and the groom’s gorgeous… mask, it was a sight to see for any Deadpool fan. Don’t miss the cameos from Spider-Man, Colossus (in a suit!), and more. Oh, and the Deadpool tie… classic.

Don’t miss the stunning golden gown at this industrial shoot

When we saw this styled shoot come in, it was full-on starry-eyed emoji time. The white embellished gown? The FAB golden gown?! The bejeweled headpiece?! It’s traditional meets totally not, which is kinda how we roll anyway. Shall we take a look? You know you can’t stop…

Overalls, a choreographed first dance, and custom popcorn at this A-frame wedding

Nidia and Jamal had an adorable wedding at an A-frame at Ross Camp in West Lafayette, Indiana. They originally planned to have their ceremony outside in front of a pine tree and pond, but Mother Nature forced them inside due to rain. The ceremony included one of our favorite readings, “I Like You,” and instead of having a first kiss, they high-fived (and then kissed because why not?).

This simple mountain wedding had handmade cakes and a stunning black and white dress

This baker and her groom rocked a simple and gorgeous wedding in the mountains where they grew up. She challenged herself (with a back-up plan!) to bake her own cakes for the wedding and knocked it out of the park. You’ll want to see them. Oh, and her amazing black and white dress and sweet flower crown. This pair is stunning at their simple mountain wedding.
