BIPOC

Based on reader feedback that it was “hard to find any weddings of people of color,” we started tagging posts that featured a BIPOC bride and/or groom — and/or means you’ll find tons of interracial couples in here! Increasing visibility for BIPOC folks has been a priority for us since 2008, and note that we always allow folks to self-identify. More about how and why we do this here.

A shredding wedding: snowboarding wedding is a total win

A shredding wedding: snowboarding post-nuptials is a total win

Twee and John had a small and heartfelt snowboarding wedding at Sapphire Point overlooking a frozen Lake Dillon and the mountains of Breckenridge Ski Resort in Colorado.

After their morning wedding, they decided to do what they loved doing together: hitting the slopes! Twee rocked a cheetah print shrug along with her dress, which covered almost her entire board and collected many pounds of snow and ice along the way. Are you ready to see this hardcore shredding wedding?

rainbow engagement

A REAL rainbow totally blessed this same sex engagement shoot

Are you kidding me with this serendipity? William and Rob were taking engagement photos around downtown Omaha when they ran across this gorgeous fountain with sunlight hitting it just right. SO right that it cast a practically perfect in every way REAL rainbow. Come on, this is adorable. I’m going double rainbow wild over here. Okay, maybe not that wild (that was pretty flippin’ wild, if you remember), but it is pretty rad.

We’ve got rainbow heart eyes for these two and their real rainbow engagement. Let’s see if you do, too…

Collect your jaw from the floor after this jewel-toned cocktail reception

Vintage goblets and accessories on the bar cart, a red velvet couch with a gold backdrop, rich, dramatic florals, and a lush rug to create a luxe sitting area — this jewel-toned cocktail reception styled shoot with Jessica and David totally captures the essence of bright colors. David’s suit was custom-made for him in Thailand, and the personalized invitation suite was hand-painted by the photographer, who is also an artist (holy talent, Batman!).

Let’s ogle the rich colors and puppy cuddles and be inspired, my friends…

This super chic 1950s vintage wedding wins our hearts

This super chic vintage tropical wedding wins our hearts

Looking at this wedding is like being transported into a 1950s-era South Seas movie set. From dapper-as-hell, perfectly cut suits (floral! metallic! bold colors! our hearts!), kitschy tchotchkes from their home, milk glass planters, vintage ceramic figurines, antique cameo brooches, there is so much to take in.

Anthony and Michael-Birch are two artists (musician and embroiderer), and took a surprisingly practical approach to their stylish wedding. They wanted to keep things simple, focusing on putting on a fun celebration but not breaking the bank or getting carried away with old traditions or extraneous decorations.
