Jade & Jonathan’s down-to-earth backyard wedding

A painted mailbox, an adorably awkward bride/grandfather walk down the aisle, and a top-your-own doughnut bar — oh hell yeah, this wedding is Fun City. This wedding also has one of the funniest moments we’ve read about in awhile. Let’s just say there was a really big mix-up in locations.

Amanda & Lee’s knights and dragons colorful fairy tale wedding

If you’re still reading this and haven’t already clicked to see more of the fabulous red dress, dapper white suit, and DRAGON HEADPIECE, there’s more to see in this white-knight-marries-a-lovely-dragon wedding. We’re talking handmade dragon wings, light-up leather bouquets, Magic: the Gathering rings, Frozen karaoke, and a Mario Kart shell toss. If that doesn’t get you, nothing will!

Lara & Hunter’s tea party wedding with feathers and hats

Teapots, cucumber sandwiches, and cake on the best man’s face? It’s a tea party wedding turned upside down. Add in fancy hats, a retro venue, and a wild dance party, and you’ve got this sweet little wedding in Washington. And when it comes to this bride’s hat, there was nothing to do but put a bird on it!

Andreas & Ariel’s island hippie/raver forest freak-fest (10th anniversary flashback!)

10 years ago today, the wedding that ultimately kicked off the whole weird world that is Offbeat Bride happened. On August 7th 2004, I married Andreas. Then I wrote a book about it. Then I launched a website about the book, and now here we are. To celebrate, I figured I’d fill out a wedding profile myself. If these pics make you curious, you can get the Offbeat Bride book on Amazon for like 50 cents.
