Yes! It’s A Tardis card box! I love watching it appear out of nowhere, much like the Tardis itself, just appears. I couldn’t help but hear this noise the entire time. Vicki, you are awesome. And KarenMarie, you are lucky.

You know, I hadn’t been sure of whether or not to make a card box, but now I think I have to. Regardless of whether or not any cards get put in! (We asked for our guests to donate to charities in lieu of gifts.)
we’ve been in the middle of making our TARDIS cardbox for a while now. we’re using wood though, so it’s taking a bit longer. AWESOME.
same! though i outsourced it to a woodworking friend of ours, every now and then paint swatches show up in my letterbox (picking tardis blue is reeeeally hard)
I used the cookie jar from Thinkgeek, removed the removeable lining and the bottom (just a few screws), and then attached it to a hat box to allow more room. Bigger cards couldn’t fit in it, but it was great hitting the top and hearing the tardis talk 😀 (we stuck a note on it saying it opens as well)

Totally awesome! We’ve already got Tardis invites…and our Photobooth backdrop might be the Tardis as well…so in an effort to keep our wedding everything geek, not just Dr Who themed, I’d have to avoid having this, haha 🙂

I love you so much for posting this! It’s coool. My FH is talking about doing something similar to refrigerator box only with a door flap and shoulder straps on the inside so he can wear it. He wants to dress up as the doctor (10th) and wear it around for hallows; stepping out and (in his heinously bad British accent) going “Hello! Hm what’s this, I’m thinking 2011 on the western cost of the United States?” Oh how I miss David Tennant.
Love it! When I get married, I’m thinking of sending vague invitations on a TARDIS blue card with just the time, date, coordinates and our names.
This would go perfectly with the invites and my TARDIS charm for my bouquet!
I just finished making my TaRDIS card box from this tutorial! She still needs a paint job and I feel so accomplished knowing I did it and I think it looks awesome!!! 🙂

I absolutely ADORE this idea! I wanted to incorporate something Doctor Who into my wedding and this will be perfect! Not only because I’m a big fan, but because my sweetie and I actually watched the first episode of the 9th Doctor on our very first date!
