About Gina Brocker Photography
Hi! I’m Gina, a Boston wedding photographer who specializes in documenting the beautiful chaos of life and love. I tell the stories of couples and families on their most important days through my photographs and find it endlessly fascinating.
I focus on capturing the energy, emotion and essence of moments in the most authentic and artful way.
My vast background as a documentary photographer means you won’t feel the camera, but those final photographs will prove I never miss a beat.
I’m a firm believer in allowing people to be themselves. I put the comfort and experience of my clients and their loved ones first and foremost. When all is said and done, you won’t just have amazing photographs, you’ll have a visual story that will reignite memories and allow you to feel it all over again.

Frequently Asked Questions
When I was a kid growing up in Michigan, I was always fooling around with my mom’s old manual cameras and capturing everything my friends and I did. I took as many art classes as possible in high school, but even then, I was merely creating pieces of the photographs I had taken.
I went on to study documentary photography at the Maryland Institute of Art and abroad at the University of Wales, where I won the Nikon Discovery Award Grand Prize and was named one of the 25 Under 25 Up-and-Coming American Photographers (you can check out some of that work by visiting ginamariebrocker.com). My work followed my passion for sub-cultures and the celebration of individuals and communities outside of the mainstream and norm.
Frankly, wedding photography wasn’t in the plans. But when a friend asked me to join her in photographing a wedding she was documenting, my plans changed in an instant. Having access to the interactions, emotions and stories that day gave me a wonderful adrenaline rush. I found that weddings allowed me to capture the moments I love most – those full of life, energy and connection. I came back from that first wedding with a new outlook and my passion for telling others stories has only grown stronger.
I of course celebrate BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+, neurodivergent and ALL individuals and couples from all cultures, beliefs and backgrounds. I am neurodivergent myself with a complex story that allows me to relate to others in a deep way. The human experience fascinates me and I’m very grateful that I can use my camera to show and record its complexity and beauty.
